Bye Bye Hair Knots

Hair washing days used to be a ‘DAYMARE’ filled with anxiety and complete dread. Ahabi and I would take turns washing the hair because the kids would cry which would lead me to cry also. Something which should be fun and an integral part of an African Mother-daughter relationship was causing stress. There’s nothing worse than any mother than seeing a tangled knotty mess of hair, (parents with mixed kids will relate to this, it sometimes looks like a birds nest!)

This was probably worse for me because my girls suffer from intolerance to most products out there. Detangling products which promise the world but unfortunately leave them itchy or at worse running to the doctors for medical attention. Last summer I came across this product and I have this thing where I see something whether online or physically and the champions leagues tune blasts in my head like “the chaaam-piooonsssss!!”

I instinctively clicked away and days later it arrived. We opened the box, smelt it; they were drawn to its light scent and creamy texture. They said they loved the thought of milk being applied on their hair as a conditioner. I added that its hair food for dry thirsty hair which made them giggle. They were shocked that I purchased a hair mask for them since they thought this was a luxury product and can therefore only be used by grown-ups. We conducted a patch test and kept watch all day. By evening time we were ready to roll, 5 minutes on the hair and the effect was immediate.

A divine hair mask that is good enough for the entire family. They have a shampoo with keratin as well. We use both.

They are available for purchase here, Bye Bye Messy Hair days and Helloooo Gorgeous!! Kallos has a whole range of yummy hair products for you to explore as well so happy looking!
